독립문 네거리에 새로 생긴 '근대문물' 골동품점 인상좋은 주인아저씨.
며칠 전 퇴근길에 재미있는 가게를 하나 발견했다.
위치는 독립문 네거리 무악재 방향 버스 정류장 앞.
소위 말하는 골동품점인데, 다른 집과는 취급품목이 좀 다르다.
이른바 ‘근대문물’를 집중적으로 거래하는 곳이다.
(간판에는 도자기나 고서화도 취급한다고 돼 있긴 하다)
이렇게 설명하면 이해하기 어려울 것 같아서 몇 가지 예를 든다면,
일제시대나 해방 전후의 잡지나 각종 서적, 그림, 생활도구 등이다.
당연히 60, 70년대의 추억의 장난감이나 명찰, 간판 등도 포함돼 있다.
한 마디로 ‘오만가지 잡동사니’들을 다루는, 재밌는 가게다.
요즘 매니아들 가운데는 이런 것들을 모으는 사람들이 더러 있다.
반갑기도 하고 소장품들이 궁금하기도 하고 해서 불쑥 가게로 들어섰다.
내 또래의 아저씨가 주인인데, 반갑게 맞고는 커피 한잔 하겠냐고 묻는다.
이리저리 둘러보았는데, 그야말로 없는 게 없다. 다 있다.
나는 아무래도 옛날 잡지가 눈에 들어와 몇 권 뒤적여보았다.
서둘러 집으로 갈 일이 있어서 그날은 대충 이 정도로 보고 왔다.
다음에 다시 들러 그 땐 자세히 구경해야겠다.
내가 필요한 자료가 아마 몇 있지 싶다.

전시물 2 - '우주소년 아톰' 인형
전시물 3 - 손님이 전시물을 살펴보고 있는 모습
전시물 4 - 낡은 태극기와 교모 등
전시물 5 - 과거 6, 70년대 당시 봉초담배 봉지. 당시 시골어른들이 권련이 아닌, 봉지에 넣은 담배를 말아서 피웠다.
